What is NASCAR Silly Season?
Silly Season is tongue-in-cheek slang for the period that begins during the latter part of a race season, when some teams announce driver, crew and/or sponsor changes.
Did you know it is not a NASCAR specific term though? The term 'silly season' has been around since the 19th century and means the period lasting for a few summer months typified by the emergence of frivolous news stories in the media.
