Greg Biffle went winless for the first time in his NASCAR career in 2009. It may be more a result of the ‘off’ year that Roush Racing had as a whole then squarely placed on Biffle’s shoulders. Greg did finish the best of any Roush driver in the field with a season ending rank of 7th.

Greg Biffle’s pit crew closed out the 2009 season as the winners of the Tissot Pit Road Precision Award. Tissot sponsors a season long challenge that measures NASCAR pit crews against each other each race. Biffle’s crew won ‘crew of the race’ six times during the 2009 season, besting the likes of Johnson’s, Gordon’s and the ever-fast Matt Kenseth pit crew.

Greg Biffle has an interesting statistic going right now. He is consistently crashing less. He had 3 DNF’s in ‘07, 2 DNF’s in ‘08 and 1 DNF in ‘09 as a result of crashes. Sometime Biffle’s hard-charging driving style gets the best of him. Maybe he is becoming more patient? Nonetheless, I wouldn’t go with Greg Biffle as a first round draft pick for my team (unless it was a really big draft and I was last to pick). For me, Biffle has always been a good guy to have around to pull off the bench when my A-List drivers got themselves into a slump.
