Carl Edwards is outperforming all other drivers heading in to Kansas

Carl Edwards has momentum on his side three races in to the Chase. Carl is the only Chase driver to finish in the top-10 in each of the three completed Chase races. He is averaging a 5th place finish thus far. Edwards who has four top-5 and six top-10 finishes over the last six races has outscored his closet competition by six points over the last three and ten points over the last six.

Carl Edwards is fastest off the truck early in practice #1 at Dover

In the first 10 minutes of practice #1 at Dover, with 34 drivers having taken to the track and taken one to 10 laps, Carl Edwards is fastest off the truck with a top speed of 153.695 mph. Carl laid down two laps and then went back to the garage. Still a long time to go in this practice session though.

Carl Edwards struggles in happy hour at Chicagoland

21 laps (35 minutes) in to practice #2 at Chicagoland Speedway Carl Edwards continues to struggle with his #99 Aflac Ford. Hard to drive on entry and exit. Tight in center of corner and wicked loose on exit.

Carl Edwards team to change carburetor on #99 car at Chicagoland

Jayski reports that Carl Edwards car has a possible problem with the fuel pickup and the Aflac #99 team is going to change the carburetor. Edwards ran 29 laps during practice #1 at Chicagoland Speedway and ranked 19th fastest with a lap of 180.427 mph coming on lap #8.

Carl Edwards fastest in Happy Hour for Richmond

Carl Edwards had the fastest single lap in Happy Hour at Richmond with a lap of 122.755 mph. Carl ran 50 laps in first practice but only 6 laps in Happy Hour. Must be pretty happy with his car.
