How is Starting Position Important in Fantasy NASCAR?
Earn a Few Extra Points Each Week
Using a driver's start position history or even going with the driver(s) starting up front on a per-race basis can help you gain some points in fantasy NASCAR.
In What Ways?
First, it could be a way to take advantage of earning a few extra bonus points each race if your league awards extra points for the first few starting positions. Those extra points can add up through the season and be what separates you from the other players.
Also, some track it is just harder to pass than others. A driver starting up front not only gets the benefit of starting the race up front but also was able to pick the best pit stall to give that extra benefit of a fast pit road exit.
Another consideration is that if the driver was fast enough to qualify up front chances are the car is good and they could continue that domination through the race.
These are just a few things to consider and reason enough to at least look at when selecting drivers for your fantasy NASCAR team.
