Ryan Newman gets the pole in one-and-done fashion

Ryan Newman was fastest in first practice at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and he did the same in qualifying. After a delay for rain and some track drying the final five drivers to qualify went out for their runs. All session long drivers picked up speed on their second lap. Ryan went out and bested current provisional pole driver, Kasey Kahne's, lap by 0.050 seconds and shut his car down without taking his second lap. Ryan started on the pole for the July race at New Hampshire and won.

Ryan Newman set to pick up where he left off at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Ryan Newman's #39 Stewart-Haas team of has brought back the same car he used to win the New Hampshire race in July. The car has not raced since and appears to still have a winning set-up. Ryan topped the speed chart with a 28.473 and also had the fastest average time of 29.04 in practice #1.
