Brian Vickers to run six races for MWR in 2012
It was just announced that Brian Vickers is going to run six races for Michael Waltrip Racing in the #55 car in 2012. Vickers will race both Cup events at arguably three of his worst tracks. Bristol, Martinsville and New Hampshire. Over his Cup career Vickers is just above 50% top-20 finishes at these tracks. Picking Vickers for your fantasy line-up will be better odds than Monty Hall's "do you want what is behind door #1, #2 or #3?" offer but equivilant to flipping a coin. I don't see today's annoucement having much effect on your fantasy teams. Putting Vickers on the track may only benefit Tony Stewart or Matt Kenseth if they decide they want to continue their feuds over this
and that
. And, how strange is it that Brian is racing both Martinsville races? He caused five cautions
there last year.
