Work Out Those Hard Feelings on the Short Track!
Another restrictor plate race in the books and another set of big wrecks and hard feelings. When are the drivers going to realize that they have to be extremely lucky to win one of those races or even finish? Thankfully they can get their frustrations out at Richmond this weekend.
Crown Royal presents the Heath Calhoun 400
Tony Stewart: Tony will get his first win of the season this weekend at Richmond. He has been coming in as a bride’s maid quite often over the last few seasons here and for once doesn’t have a feud going with anyone at the moment.
Denny Hamlin: Denny has been great at the short tracks this year and will be very good once again this weekend. He got his first win here last fall and could follow it up by visiting victory lane once again.
Jimmie Johnson: Jimmie has won 3 of the last 6 races at Richmond and is always good on the short tracks. If he and Jeff Gordon don’t wreck each other this weekend he will be there at the end fighting for the win.
Jeff Gordon: Jeff has been second only to Denny Hamlin on the short tracks this season. He will race Denny clean this week but if the 48 is in his sights towards the end of the race he will move him out of the way and take the checkered flag.
Kyle Busch: Kyle is another driver who currently doesn’t have a full blown feud going with anyone right now. He has always been good at Richmond over his short career and should continue that trend this weekend.
Kevin Harvick: Kevin got the win at Talladega after surviving all of those green-white-checker restarts. Kevin is also good at Richmond on a consistent basis finishing in the top 10 more often than not.
Mark Martin: Mark has been quietly going about his business once again this season. No wins so far this year good consistency. He came away with a great finish at Talladega so we all know that he’s happy.
Kurt Busch: Kurt has had good cars most every week this year and he loves to race on the short tracks. If he can stay out of early trouble this weekend he has a shot at the end of the race.
